So last night I watched the Democratic Debate that was held in Vegas. I was a little angsy because my candidate, Barack Obama, usually isn’t at his best in the debates. And it probably has affected him in the polls.
I think though, after hearing the drudgery of all of the other candidates and listening to their promises and beliefs–there was just something about Barack. Something electric. Something powerful.
Sure, he stumbled over his tongue a few times and I wasn’t so sure what to think about his side-stepping the question about illegal immigrants and driver’s licenses.
But there was something honest about him. Something I had forgotten I’d seen in him, even after the JJ dinner on Saturday. It’s like this is is calling. I don’t know how others feel or how others saw him but what I saw last night was a man driven not by want of the highest seat in the land but my passion and want to make things the way they should be.
His comments on the tax increase for those who CAN afford it sealed the deal for me. Win or lose this is my President. I know he can change the face of politics–he has already started this–and throughout this election I am at his side. I want change and America needs it desperately. This is our man.
This is our chance.
